For the Legalisation of a Power of Attorney. The granting party must present the document duly notarised in Hong Kong; the signature of the notary must be certified by the Registrar of the High Court of Hong Kong SAR. The Consular Fees is FIFTY US DOLLARS (US$ 50.00) to be deposited in the account of the CONSULATE GENERAL OF VENEZUELA.

Please note that for a power of attorney given in any other language than Spanish in order to be valid in Venezuela, it must be translated into Spanish by a registered Public Translator in Venezuela and must be registered before a Venezuelan Notary's Office.

For the Granting of a Power of Attorney. The document must be brought to the Consulate without prior notarisation. It must be drafted in Spanish language.

1.	Document must be drafted in Spanish.
2.	Original and two (2) photocopies.
3.	Identity Card or passport of the granting party.
4.	If the power of attorney is related to the sale of real estate or property, a photocopy of the property deed has to be presented. If it is related to the sale or transfer of a vehicle, the vehicle tittle deed in original must be presented.
5.	If the power of attorney is signed on behalf of a company, the company's commercial registry must be presented.
6.	Bank receipt of the deposit of THREE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (US$300.00) in the account of the CONSULATE GENERAL OF VENEZUELA.
7.	In order to revoke a power of attorney, a copy of the document to be revoked must be presented. It is not necessary for the original document to have been granted at this Consulate. The Consular Fee will be as above.

This Consular Service requires two working days.
